The EPA recommends that Americans continue to use, and drink tap water as usual. The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that the, “presence of the COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking-water supplies and based on current evidence the risk to water supplies is low.” Additionally, according to the CDC, COVID-19 is mainly thought to spread between people who are in close contact with one another. Iredell Water Corporation has always followed EPA’s drinking water regulation standards which require all public water systems to treat potable water to remove or kill pathogens, including viruses.

We appreciate your patience during this time as we are working for our community to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Please visit our website at www.iredellwater.com and sign up for alerts on the right side for any future updates and developments regarding COVID-19 and its impact on our business.
