Water bills are typically generated between the 22nd and 25th of each month. Your payment is then automatically drafted from your bank account on the 10th of the following month—five days before the bill’s due date.

There is no charge for Iredell Water Corporation’s ACH bank draft service. A fee may apply only if the payment is returned by your financial institution.

Is ACH Bank Draft Secure?

ACH bank draft is a secure bank-to-bank payment method that eliminates the need to send a physical check through the mail.

Some customers may be hesitant to provide their bank account information. However, the same routing and account numbers are already printed on every check mailed as payment. Enrolling in ACH allows the payment to be processed electronically without placing a paper check containing that information in a mailbox or postal collection box.

 Signing Up Is Easy

To enroll, complete an ACH bank draft authorization form and provide one of the following:

• A voided check; or
  • A letter or account verification document from your bank

Save More with Paperless Billing

Customers can also enroll in paperless billing. Instead of waiting for a paper bill to arrive in the mail, you will receive an email with your bill and amount due as soon as monthly bills are generated. This can be enabled through the customer portal or by calling our office.

Other Payment Options

Iredell Water Corporation also offers other ways to pay other than by mail:

• Online payments through the customer portal
  • Automatic card payments through the customer portal
  • Payments through our automated IVR telephone system
  • Text-to-pay

These card-based payment options include a convenience fee charged by our third-party payment processor. Iredell Water Corporation does not receive any portion of that fee.
